Leccino olives are among the most cultivated olives, given their delicate flavor. The origin dates back to central Italy, and there is reference to it since the Middle Ages. To date, Leccino olives are widespread throughout the peninsula. The soft and sweet taste of the olive blends with a bouquet of aromas among which, wisely, the intensity of the red pepper predominates.
Consumption Indications
Leccino olives, with a spicy and slightly aromatic flavor, are mostly used to prepare snacks or appetizers based on aged cheeses and cured meats. They are widely used to flavor both meat and fish dishes. A further use of Leccino olives is in the pan together with potatoes, peppers, aubergines or tomatoes.
