The most commonly grown olives
The Leccino Olives, one of the most widespread varieties, are highly appreciated for their delicate flavour. Originally from Central Italy, mention of them has been found from the Middle Ages. They are also pleasant when eaten as is, but even in ancient times were often seasoned with preparations containing chilli pepper.
