Madama Oliva teaches nutrition in primary schools with the SaltainBocca educational project to combat overweight and childhood obesity

Madama Oliva enters schools for the seventh edition of the SALTAinBOCCA project. The project aims to bring children closer to the world of healthy nutrition and healthy physical activity in a playful way.

The educational path deals with various topics such as: the Food Pyramid , the Mediterranean Diet , the importance of play and sporting activity , the 5 fundamental meals of the day, the nutritional principles and interesting insights on healthy and genuine products to add to the children’s diet , with innovative and engaging themes, for example: how fruit jam is made, curiosities about olives and lupins, many simple recipes with soft bread.

The educational project, completely free, provides support materials for the teacher’s training path also for distance learning.

In the school year 2020-2021, the project involves 3,000 Classes of Primary Schools, 75,000 children and families.

In addition to the classes, in fact, families are also involved by participating in the project with a prize competition through a survey on their eating habits, with fantastic prizes offered by partner companies.

“This initiative soon follows the partnership with fitness centers throughout Italy, – explains Manuela Tilli, marketing & amp; trade specialist of Madama Oliva – where we did informative activities with sportsmen who attend gyms, with a view to making known the virtues and characteristics of fresh products in support of well-being. Thousands of athletes or simple enthusiasts have had the opportunity to test the packs of lupins and olives in snack format. We believe that there is a need to fully communicate natural products and their nutritional characteristics to make known the value in terms of psycho-physical well-being . Indeed, that of olives is a wonderful world: foods with unparalleled health properties, and a great variety of cultivars ”.

Today more than ever it is important to stay healthy and maintain an effective and strong immune system . Here is one more reason to adopt healthy habits , which, acquired as children, at home and at school, persist as adults. This is why every effort must be made so that children learn to eat well and stay active.
