Meaty and fruity olives
The Giant Sweet Green Olives grow in the Chalkidiki peninsula, in Greece. These olives are quite large, at over two centimetres in diameter. Their crunchy, succulent and meaty flesh is suitable for destoning. The sun-kissed soil and Mediterranean breeze add a savoury flavour and delicate and fruity aroma as they grow, turning them into a rare superior quality product.
Serving suggestion
While the preferred way to enjoy them is as a snack, or served with aperitifs or starters, the Giant Sweet Green Olives are also a highly versatile ingredient. They can form the base for creams, tapenades and pestos to be spread on bruschetta, paired with fish and white meat, to add a Mediterranean touch to pizza, focaccia and sauces.
