The olives loved by the Romans

One of the many theories around the origins of this olive is that it was created from the “orchites” olives said to be carried by Roman troops on their long journeys. By throwing the olive pits onto the ground after a banquet in Apulia, they started the cultivation of the Bella di Puglia Olive. Native to Apulia, it is quite likely the largest table olive in the world.

Serving suggestion

The size of the Black Bella di Puglia Olives make them ideal for enjoying alone. Their harmonious shape and delicate taste add an enticing element to charcuterie boards of cured meat and cheese, assortments of starters and salads. Thanks to their delicateness, they work well in many Mediterranean recipes, as the protagonist or complementary ingredient.
