Olives native to Trapani
The Castelvetrano Olives are originally from Sicily, specifically Trapani. They stand out for their bright green colour, round shape and meaty, crunchy flesh. Their sweet, delicate flavour with mild savoury notes make them an excellent example of a quality table olive. These olives are harvested in late September, before they are ripe, when the flesh is crunchy and the fruits are bright green.
Serving suggestion
The Pink Peppercorn and Rosemary Pitted Olives from the Special Jars Line are created especially for aperitifs and starters. Paired with light or even fruity wines to make a toast extra special, they can accompany soft cheese, crudités, raw fish and various shellfish.
