Nutritionists recently discovered that the characteristics of the lupin bean make it a superfood. A low-calorie source of protein and fibre, some might even call it a panacea of health. In all seriousness, it is a natural regulator of blood sugar, it counters bad cholesterol and promotes a sense of fullness. Lupin is also good for the skin, since it protects against UV rays and fights ageing. At Madama Oliva we choose only the best varieties of Italian lupin beans, including organically grown.
